By Car: To get to the church, enter North Shields on the A187 (Howden Road, becoming Prudoe Street, then Saville Street). Travel into the town and past most of the shops, then take the second left after the multi-storey car park (Howard Street). We’re halfway up the road on the left. Alternatively, approach North Shields on the A1058 (Coast Road or Beach Road). Turn towards the town centre at a roundabout by the swimming pool and John Spence High School (Preston Road). At the second traffic lights, turn left (Albion Road), then right at the next traffic lights (Upper Norfolk Street). Follow this road around, turning second right and then left as it goes round the Square and then away from it (now Howard Street). We’re halfway down on the right. By Metro: Travel to North Shields Metro station, then as you emerge from there, cross the road and walk straight on along Railway St. Turn right onto Bedford St (pedestrians only) and at the bottom of that street, turn left onto Saville St. Pass the multi-storey car park and the service road beside it, then turn left onto Howard St. We’re halfway up on the left Where we are North Shields Baptist Church Howard Street, North Shields NE30 1AR
