Welcome The town centre church North Shields is a vibrant, growing town on the North East coast of England, home to Geordies, renowned for their friendliness. Founded on fishing and shipping, it traces its origins back to the 13th century but now, although it’s still a major force in the fishing industry and cruise ships ply to and fro from its banks, most of the heavy industry has been replaced by modern, high tech service and manufacturing industries. The town has its origins in more than fishing and shipping though. It was set up by the Priory in Tynemouth and it has never quite forgotten its spiritual heritage. Our church stands near the centre of this large town, testament to the continuing love of God, ready to serve our community in the name of Jesus.
