Sunday Morning Service

11:00 am is when the church fellowship gets together to worship the Lord. We generally start off altogether and after about 20 minutes, the young people go to their own classes. The service lasts a little over one hour. Everyone is welcome. We have access for the disabled and a loop system for the hard of hearing.

What are the services like?

We enjoy a real mix of noisy and quiet; formal and casual; contemporary and traditional. The congregation typically contains some babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, young adults, middle-agers and senior members, so we find ourselves responding to different backgrounds and needs in every service. That means, when you visit, you'll probably know some of the songs but not all, you'll find some of our habits normal and maybe some will seem a little strange (but only until you get to know us better).

Is this for everyone?

We believe that God loves everyone and that He wants to share His life with us all. In Jesus, we can come to Him in faith and trust and find that life, as He washes away the offences and sins of the past, making us new and filling us with Himself, as He comes to us by the Holy Spirit. Believing that, makes us want to tell everyone how wonderful Jesus is.

Help yourself to some of our service extracts in the Online Resources section and maybe you'll see what we mean, Better still, come and visit whenever you're in the area. We'd love to get to know you.

Sunday Evening Service

At 6:00 pm on Sundays, we have a different service together. It tends to be smaller, and therefore, more amenable to sharing and discussion than in the mornings.

We read the Scriptures and hear an explanation of the readings, sharing our responses and   praying together. The service lasts about 50 minutes and everyone is welcome.

Small Groups

In many ways, the small groups are the heart beat of the fellowship. Mostly, they meet in homes, so you need to make contact and ask where to go if you're interested in joining. We try to ensure that there is one suitable for you - wherever you're at in your Christian life. Here are some examples:

Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship - mostly retired folk who gather to share, study the Bible and pray. (no surprises - they meet on Tuesday afternoons!)

Thursday Evening Fellowship - A mixed group who gather to share their questions, consult the Bible and pray together. (You guessed it - they usually meet on Thursday evenings!)

Women's Fellowship - A group of mostly retired ladies, who meet together once a month to share in Christian friendship and subjects of mutual interest. (They meet on the first Friday morning of each month.)

Alpha Course - as required, from time to time we run an Alpha Course for those who want to find out what the Christian Faith is about.

Prayer Groups - There are a variety of groups that meet together for at various different times and in different ways.

Other Groups

The girls are served by vibrant groups of Rainbows and Brownies that meet on Monday evenings.

Crafts on a Shoestring - every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 pm in the Church Hall. It's all about how to have fun and be creative, even when you think you have no talent (because everyone does have some) and no money (because you don't really need it for this).

A small group visits 2 of the local homes for the elderly with regular services of worship, concentrating on singing some of the old, well-known hymns.

Through the year, on Tuesday evenings, the Church Hall is open to provide free hot meals for all who want them.

Other events happen too but you'll just have to come and find out about them.
